Vactidy Nimble T6 – Cheap and Cheerful Robot Vacuum

Introduction

Robot vacuums are becoming more popular and sophisticated, but they can also be quite expensive. If you’re looking for a simple and affordable way to keep your floors clean, you might be interested in the Vactidy Nimble T6.

This robot vacuum is the latest launch from Proscenic’s sister brand, and it promises to deliver efficient and effortless cleaning for a fraction of the cost of its competitors. But does it live up to its claims? Here’s what we found out after testing it for a few weeks.

Design and features

The Vactidy Nimble T6 is a small and light robot vacuum that looks like many others on the market. It has a round shape, a button on top to start and stop a clean, and a flap that opens to reveal the bin. It also comes with a remote control that lets you manually navigate the robot or activate spot cleaning mode.

The robot has a single brush bar for the main cleaning, plus two side-sweeping brushes that help it reach the edges of rooms. The brush bar is not anti-tangle, so you’ll need to use the razor that comes with the robot to remove any hair that gets wrapped around it.

The robot has three cleaning modes: auto, edge, and spot. You can select them using the remote control or the app. The app also lets you schedule cleaning times, check the battery level, and control the robot with voice commands via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

The robot has a large bin that can hold up to 600 ml of dust and debris. It also has a self-charging feature that automatically returns the robot to its dock when the battery is low. The battery life is impressive, lasting up to 120 minutes on a single charge.

Performance

The Vactidy Nimble T6 surprised us with its cleaning performance. It was able to pick up dirt, dust, pet hair, and crumbs from different types of floors, including carpets, tiles, and hardwood. It was also fairly quiet, making less noise than some of our regular vacuums.

However, the robot also had some drawbacks. The main one was its tendency to get stuck on various obstacles, such as rugs, cables, furniture legs, or door thresholds. This made it unreliable and frustrating to use, especially if we left it alone to do its job. We had to rescue it several times during each cleaning session.

Another issue was its lack of proper mapping or navigation. The robot moves randomly around the room, bumping into walls and objects until it covers the whole area. This means it can miss some spots or go over the same places multiple times. It also can’t remember where it has cleaned before or create virtual boundaries to avoid certain areas.

Finally, the robot can’t replace a regular vacuum entirely. It can’t clean stairs, upholstery, or other surfaces that require attachments or more suction power. It also can’t handle large debris or wet spills. You’ll still need to use your standard vacuum for those tasks.

Verdict

The Vactidy Nimble T6 is a decent robot vacuum for its price range. It can clean well on different floors and has a long battery life and a large bin. It also works with smart assistants and has a simple app and remote control.

However, it also has some limitations that might make you think twice before buying it. It gets stuck easily on obstacles, has no proper mapping or navigation, and can’t replace a regular vacuum for all your cleaning needs.

If you have a simple layout and don’t mind checking on the robot occasionally, this budget cleaner might work for you. But if you want something more reliable and advanced, you might want to look elsewhere.
